TEETH CLEANING
Now offering Emmi-pet teeth cleaning
The most gentle brushing method for the dog is the emmi®-pet ultrasonic toothbrush. This dog toothbrush looks like an electric toothbrush, but is completely silent and therefore tolerated even by sensitive animals. Ultrasonic technology also eliminates the need for mechanical brushing. The toothbrush is simply held to the dog's teeth, the cleaning is done by the ultrasound. The ultrasonic waves penetrate up to 12 millimetres deep into the gums and therefore not only clean the teeth, but also prevent such dangerous periodontitis. Thus, one achieves an extremely gentle all-round oral hygiene, so that bad odours do not even arise.
We offer appointments for just teeth cleaning for new and existing customers. To book or ask any questions please call 01952 460763

ABOUT THE SOGGIE DOGGIE
Our cause -:
"Helping people give their dogs the care they deserve and to promote awareness of the well being of mans best friend"
My promise is:
1. Your dog will be treated with the very best care and attention, as if it was my own dog.
2. Your dog will get my full undivided attention throughout their times with me. This includes lots of cuddles.
3. Your dog will never be left in a cage, awaiting their turn to be groomed. I am very much against conveyor belt grooming. Your dogs groom will start at the time you drop him/her off to me. I only groom to appointment and on a one to one basis.
4. Your dog will get my full and undivided attention throughout their times here at The Soggie Doggie.
5. Your dog will be groomed to your specifications to suit yours and the dogs lifestyle.
6. Every groom will be to a high standard.
7. Your dogs groom is never rushed, I want your dog to feel at ease, so if your dog is timid or nervous/aggressive etc time will be allocated to allow for this.
Your dogs grooming session will include a health check and advice where necessary, nail clipping, ears cleaning, full groom to remove matts or knots, and styled to your requirements. Flea treatment if necessary will be used and you will be billed after if your dog comes in with fleas. On completion your dog will be handed back to you feeling, looking and smelling great!
Extra Special Care is given to dogs with sensitive skin and allergies.
Our main aim is to provide a secure, safe and loving environment for your dog, on a one to one basis and to build their confidence over time to make the grooming process an enjoyable experience for them. We pride ourselves on being friendly and approachable and we will talk through your requirements before starting grooming. Whilst in our care, your pet will receive personal attention and the grooming carried out with patience and understanding.

ABBIE MACKINTOSH
Salon Manager/Groomer
Hi I’m Abbie, the Salon Manager at The Soggie Doggie. I’m the face behind the mask in reception and the voice at the other end of the phone. Working with dogs is all I know, from volunteering in South Africa with anti poaching dogs, to boarding kennels to world of rescue. I’ve seen and done so much but honestly can now say that I love every aspect of my job since picking up the grooming tools. I am currently qualifying through The iPET Network. I come to work every shift with my trusted, big eared side kick, Rossy. This is what I love most about the Salon, the cage free set up, where the doggos not only get the luxury pampered treatment but make friends too!

MEGAN JONES
Groomer
Hi I’m meg I’ve been working for Jodie for around 3 years now. I used to work as a hairdresser across from Jodie’s salon and couldn’t resist popping in to say hi and cuddle all the beautiful doggies. I started just by helping out bathing and drying the dogs on my days off and really loved it and took the step for a career change I’ve now just completed my level 2 dog grooming and hopefully get to start my level 3 in September. I have been trained under Jodie wings for 2 years as a groomer and I'm looking forward to being fully qualified to. I also have my own dog called Bruno and he is my world.

HAYLEY JONES
Bathing Assistant
I'm Hayley, I am The Soggie Doggie Bathing Assistant. I bath, Dry and and prepare your dog for grooming. I haven’t always been in this line of work, I started in retail moved onto the police force and then into care. During the Pandemic I wanted to try to change my care for people into animals. My love for animals came from an early age. When I was growing up we always had cats and dogs as pets. Then when I was 11 I helped my dad with rescued owls to rehabilitate them. I have owned a range of animals from exotic to domestic all needing a ride range of care. I currently have 3 Cats and a Guinea Pig.

BRIAN
Salon Security
Hi, I'm Brian (I belong to Jodie) I'm the salon security. I'm 13 years old and my favourite things include going for a bumble around the Church yard, playing ball and getting pats from all the people who come to The Soggie Doggie. Oh and a pig's ear but my teeth are a bit flat from playing ball all my life so I have to have something softer now like sausages but I guess that will have to do.
I snooze most of the day in reception so you'll probably see me when your out and about. I like to watch the coming and goings outside the salon hence why the gave me the job on Salon Security.

ROSS
Chief of Mischief
Hi, I'm Ross also know to my friends as Rossy. I'm just over a year old and my job at The Soggie Doggie is to make everyone laugh. I like to randomly get the zoomies and play with all the toys. I enjoying playing with all the dogs that come in. My bestest friend is Brian ( I like to give him kisses and he always look at me weird but i do it anyway ) My mom (Abbie) tells me I'm a lucky boy to be able to come in work with her but personally I think she's the lucky one to come to work with me.
TESTIMONIALS

"I found out about The Soggie Doggie with a quick Google search, and I couldn’t have been more fortunate. They were fast, friendly, and super professional from the moment we got started."
Emily Johnson
Our beautiful lockdown pup, Murphy, has just had his first full groom at The Soggie Doggie; he’s been in a few times previously, a little anxiously, and the team worked with him to get him to the point where he was comfortable before doing a full groom, first going in for nails only, then nails and a bath, then nails, bath and a little bit of a tidy and then today a full groom.
The team’s patience in gradually working him up to the full groom means he has come away today such a happy pup, comfortable with the groom he has had, and not terrified of going back.
The team could, I’m sure, have easily groomed him the first time he went in, pushing him outside his comfort zone and traumatising him so he hates the groomers for the rest of him life, but instead they have taken their time, and not just pushed it for the money - and as such, they have made us loyal customers forever, and given us a dog who genuinely doesn’t mind going to the groomers!
I cannot recommend highly enough - viewing our dogs well-being and long-term happiness over short-term financial gain is a rare quality, and we will go nowhere else with our happy pup!
Thank you all!!
Rosie Griffin

TERMS OF CONDITIONS
Terms & Conditions
Please take a moment to read the terms and conditions that help us run our stress-free salon.
All these terms and conditions stand if you use our salon.
We appreciate 48hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Failure to turn up without prior notification results in a charge of 50% of the price of your grooming to cover staff costs, and advance payment to secure your next appointment.
If you NO SHOW to your booked appointment you will be charged 50% of your grooming. I.e If your full groom costs £25.00 you will need to pay £12.50 before we can book you in for your new appointment.
Please ensure that your pet has been to the toilet before arriving at the salon.
Please stick to the appointment time specified upon booking, and confirmed in your pre-appointment email. The Soggie Doggie operates on a one -to-one basis which is a premium grooming service, that ensures that your pet is given 100% of his or her groomer's attention throughout the appointment period. This system can only work if clients bring their dogs and collect their dogs at the specified times. Your appointment slot includes time allocated to a pre-groom consultation, so that there is no need to arrive early to book in.
Matted Coats. We have a non de-matting policy, in compliance with Animal Welfare Act (2007) section 5 which states that 'All animals are to be protected from pain, injury, suffering and disease'. Attempting to brush out heavy matting would lead to a great deal of discomfort for a dog. Instead we will at all times advise clipping to remove the matted and damaged coat. If your pet has become matted, we require your permission to clip before we begin the groom. Where pets are heavily matted, an extra charge of up to £15 to remove the coat will apply, on top of the regular groom price.
Flea Policy – your groomer will check for fleas during the pregroom consultation, and will advise you if your dogs needs to be treated. Any dog found to have fleas will go straight into a flea-bath with special shampoo to remove the fleas. The salon will also need to be treated to prevent cross contamination therefore we make a charge of £6 per dog to cover the extra costs involved. You will be advised to treat your pet and your home environment to eradicate the problem.
Sedated dogs. We do not accept dogs that are under sedation for grooming under any circumstances.
Pregnant dogs. Whilst every care is taken with every dog, bitches that are pregnant are accepted for grooming at the owner's risk.
Challenging behaviour. Some dogs may require a longer appointment time or a split appointment, due to excessively nervous or challenging behaviour. We will advise the owner of any alteration in charges before we begin.
Aggressive dogs. While we have a great deal of experience and success in the grooming of difficult dogs, we reserve the right to halt the grooming process should a dog become aggressive to the point of being a danger to staff or to his or herself. Full or part of the grooming charge may apply.
Pre-existing conditions. Your groomer may uncover evidence of a health issue while grooming your pet and will always advise you of any further recommended actions i.e. visit to the vet , dietary requirements etc.
We groom each dog to the owner's specifications, as far as the dog will tolerate and the coat condition and type allows. We will always place a dog's welfare, safety and peace of mind above adherence to a particular style. In case of being unable for any reason to groom to the exact style wished by the owner, we will endeavour to contact the owner and agree upon a suitable alternative style.
We reserve the right to turn away clients that are over 15 minutes late for their appointment.
Your groomer will give you a collection time when you leave your dog at the salon. This will normally be around 2 hours later. A pet sitting fee of £5 per half hour will apply for dogs that are over 30 minutes late being collected.
If you happen to be a few minutes early to collect, your dog may still be on the grooming table being attended to, please remain out of sight and hearing whilst you wait. Once your dog sees you and naturally starts to get excited, your groomer may have to consider the groom finished, for safety reasons.
Our groomers work extremely hard, and care for each dog as if they were their own. Any abusive language or behaviour towards our staff or other visitors to the salon will not be tolerated. If a groomer is made uncomfortable by your behaviour you will be asked to leave immediately.
We will groom your pet to your specifications, which will be discussed in the pre-groom consultation. If you are sending your pet in with a friend or family member, please send written instructions or give us a quick call to confirm your requirement. This eliminates any confusion which can occur when receiving a clients wishes 'second hand'. Photographs. We take photos of each dog before during and after the groom, which we keep on file to assist us in future grooms. We may use some photos in advertising our service and/or post to our social media sites. Most clients enjoy seeing their pet featured. Please let us know beforehand if you do not wish your pet's photos to be made public.
Pet Records. Please provide a thorough account of any health issues, allergies or behavioural challenges appertaining to your dog. These notes are very valuable to us to give us a clear picture of the background before we begin to groom.
Alterations. If, after the groom is complete, there is anything about the groom that you would like altered, please advise your groomer accordingly before you leave the salon. We are never offended by timely requests to make minor changes, so please ask.
All of this Terms and Conditions apply before you use our services.
